Looking Tired
We often get clients contacting us complaining that they look tired, even though they aren’t. Or they might say friends or loved ones are commenting they look tired when they aren’t. One of the effects of ageing is the descention of facial structures which cause a loss of volume and the appearance of looking drawn out or tired.
We lose volume high in our cheeks (as the malar fat pad descends) which creates the appearance of hollow or sunken eyes and dark circles appear. Our temples also lose volume accentuating the tired appearance. Some people feel these changes are the result of stress or a busy schedule, but no amount of holidays can undo this damage. Whilst it is important to make healthy lifestyle choices and be disciplined with diet and exercise, when ageing starts to concern you, there’s plenty of options to undo (or prevent) this damage.
We generally utilise Dermal Filler to treat the underlying causes of a tired appearance, however, sometimes combination treatments including anti-wrinkle injections and medical grade skincare are required. Dr Wilkinson will discuss your options with you during your consultation as well as make a personalised plan to address your specific anatomy and concerns. Dermal fillers last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the product used.
